A emergency landing at lisbon yesterday, what caused it?

Hi, yesterday i was on a Air Finland flight from Faro(portugal) to Luton (London). 15 mins. into the flight the worst noise ever happned. A snapping and breaking noise and the engine had stoped! We looked at the air stewards face and we could tell something really bad had happened. The pilot announced that we would be making an emergency landing at Lisbon (portugal). We had fire engines and ambulances following us down the run way and taxi ways to a remote stand. The noise when it happened was a grrrrrrr'ing noise and very loud and noticable. The whole plane didn't seem right from take off and the pilot announced 15 mins. in that the engine had failed. The Air Finland plane sat on that stand for the rest of the night and is still there now. We finally made it back to luton airport last night at 1am. What could of caused this? There were no damage marks or anything to the engine. it looked fine when we got off. This plane has never crahsed (A boing 757-200). It has to rolls royes engines

look on www.airliners.net discussion forum, no doubt it will be listed there.
could have been anything from an engine blade shattering, a bird being sucked up or a hydraulic failure. You prob will never find out unless you work for air finland or one of thier service partners.
it has TO engines ?
are you sure about it?
may be this was the reason?
